I’ve been living in Rhode Island since September. Figured it’s time to share some sights of life in the city, the Ocean State, the second state, the smallest state . . .
It is, of course, always hard to leave Alaska. But I get the family updates on dad protecting the smoker from the bears in the neighborhood, the most exciting potato shapes my sister has dug out of the garden, and where the dogs are going on their walks. I miss my apartment by the ocean, the weather blowing in and out, mountains and the green, swimming every month of the year, and raspberry oat bars at the beloved Backdoor Cafe.
